Wainwright Health Care Aide Program
Lakeland College has offered the Health Care Aide program in Wainwright in 2016, 2018 and 2022 and will offer it in 2024 if there is enough interest. Please view further information at Lakeland College - Wainwright Cohort.
A $9000 tuition bursary is available, paid out in two installments; $3000 after completion of courses 1-5 and $6000 paid after all courses have been completed and successful completion of the provincial exam. To be eligible students must sign a return of service agreement agreeing to work 2,000 hours, within two years of commencing employment with a continuing care operator (CC). CC operators include Wainwright Long Term Care and Points West Living. Lakeland College Health Care Aide students are eligible for this bursary. Please apply HERE
