Town of Wainwright Water Supply Strategy
Historically, the Town of Wainwright has depended on the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Wainwright for its water needs and this partnership has served the community well. Due to the aging infrastructure of the CFB’s water treatment facilities, a new long-term supply of treated water must be secured. The Town of Wainwright engaged Select Engineering Consultants (SEC) to undertake a comprehensive study aimed at identifying a sustainable path forward. This study focused on thoroughly evaluating and comparing potential solutions for delivering treated water to the municipality and the region.
